This patient was unhappy with the appearance of the crown on one of her front teeth. Traditionally, tooth coloured crowns were made by laying porcelain onto a substructure of metal (to provide the strength). This meant that the crowns often displayed a grey line where they met with the tooth, and also looked very opaque. By replacing this crown by one of our metal-free alternatives, we were able to eliminate the grey line and create a restoration which mimicked the colours and optical properties of the adjacent teeth. |
