Patients new smile

This gentleman presented to the surgery with a bridge at the front of the mouth which was very loose. Upon examination, it was noted that the two teeth supporting the bridge had fractured thus requiring extraction. Arrangements were made to extract the two teeth and immediately replace them with implants. The patient wore an acrylic removable prosthesis for 3 months whilst the implants were allowed to heal. Following this healing period the bone had fused to the implants and the gums had been shaped nicely. An impression was then taken to fabricate the new implant retained bridge which was subsequently screwed into the implants. The result, a new implant retained bridge which was almost indistinguishable from the patient’s natural teeth.
